This daycare opened in late July, 2019. Kanwal is an amazingly passionate and dedicated director, and we love the staff so far. They are kind and attentive. The space is modern, comfy, and clean. They are very attuned to our baby’s needs. They use the Brightwheel app, which is such a great way to see how our daughter’s day is progressing. We are so fortunate to send our daughter here and highly recommend it to anyone!

Open Space Covid-19 Response
We are excited to announce that we have officially reopened, as of June 8th! We have increased cleaning and sanitizing throughout the center and have adopted other precautions, such as daily temperature and health screenings, increased vigilance for disinfecting surfaces, and wearing personal protective equipment. We are currently enrolling for all ages.
Children in our Infant classroom experience stories, finger plays, songs, art and sensory experiences everyday! We strive to create a warm, individualized nurturing environment for all our infants.
Children in our Toddler classroom begin to explore their autonomy! Our Toddlers spend most of their day discovering the world around them through self-directed & teacher guided play, circle time, small group activities, reading books, singing songs, and both art & sensory experiences.
In our Early Preschool classroom, teachers encourage independence, social relationships and the individual interests of all children. The teacher uses the interests she observes to plan projects and lessons.
In our Preschool classroom the structure is similar to the Early Preschool classroom with a greater focus on school readiness.
Where we play to learn and learn to Grow
‘The first five years of a child’s life are the most crucial in development and we strive to support every child through this time by giving them the tools and foundation that they need in order to thrive and be successful later in life.
Why Open Space is the Best Start?
At Open Space, we encourage the development of the whole child by creating both a stimulating and nurturing environment. We not only provide hands-on materials but also engaging experiences that encourage children to learn through exploration, discovery, and play.
What Are The Facilities?
Our classrooms are designed with our children in mind. Each classroom is divided into various learning centers. These learning centers may include Art, Blocks, Literacy, Science, Sensory Dramatic Play and Manipulatives. All of the materials we use are open-ended to encourage every child’s creativity and the use of their imagination.
Our Founders and Directors
-Founder and Director
Ms. Kanwal has been working in the education field for over 10 years and has worked with children ranging from infants up to school-aged, but has found her passion to be in Early Childhood.
I’ve been in early childhood education for almost 8 years and it is absolutely my life’s passion. I’ve had many roles in education–volunteer, floater, assistant, teacher, program manager, developmental therapist.
What About Admission?
‘Our program is rooted in Piaget and Vygotsky’s belief that children learn best through self-discovery and play while engaging with their peers and caregivers.
What Parents Say
I am so grateful for the whole Open Space community. The director, the facility, the teachers, the parents, and the babies are all wonderful! I was so apprehensive leaving my 11 week old daughter with them initially. I ugly cried for about a week and spent most of my time away from her worrying about how she was doing. But the more I got to know Kanwal (the director) and the teachers, the better I felt. They are all very special; they are warm and engaging and I can really see how much they care about all of the children and how invested they are in their progress/development. They communicate often via both the app and in person during drop-off/pick-up so we can work together to make adjustments to her routine as needed. And I can see how happy my daughter is there – I see lots of bright smiles when she interacts with her friends and have also noticed how focused she gets when exploring the toys/stimuli they provide and know that it is fueling her eagerness to learn more about the world. While I still miss my baby dearly when I am not with her, I know she is in such good hands at Open Space!
