Hi! I am Ms. Sweta. I’ve been in early childhood education for almost 8 years and it is absolutely my life’s passion. I’ve had many roles in education–volunteer, floater, assistant, teacher, program manager, developmental therapist. I’ve loved them all and have learned so much along the way. In 2017, I completed my Master’s degree in early childhood education with the unyielding knowledge that this is the work I was meant to do. I love learning alongside my kiddos and helping to untangle questions about the world and all the amazing things in it. I look forward to being your partner in the care and education of your little ones and I thank you for trusting me and this school I believe so much in.
Hello, my name is Patricia Mosby. I have been working with children for over 17 years. The children who I have worked with range in age from 6 weeks to 12 years of age. After working with various age groups, I found my passion to be working with infants. I am excited to start my journey at Open Space Early Learning Center as a teacher in the infant program. I am originally from Greenville, Mississippi, where I was born but I moved to Chicago in 1989. I am a very reliable, responsible person and have great patience with children. I cannot wait to meet each of you and your children. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Hello, My name is Mr. Carson. I am originally from Portland, OR, and I am so excited to join you and your kids at Open Space! I just recently finished my undergraduate studies in Colorado and I followed my girlfriend out here to Chicago, and so far I am in love with it. In the past, I have worked with kids of varied ages, ranging from elementary school to high school, usually on their own artistic projects. Every time I have had one of these opportunities, I have enjoyed spending time with the kids. I am thrilled to bring this energy to Open Space and to learn more about early childhood. I am looking forward to meeting you and your lovely children.

Hi my name is Ms Mia. I have been working in early childhood centers for 6 years, however, I started working with children when I was 15 years old. I have an Associates in Early Childhood along with my CDA Credential and strive to be a life-long learner. I believe that children are our future and they need a positive and loving place and caregivers to help them grow and learn. It is such a rewarding experience watching a child learn how to talk, walk, run, express themselves using words and emotions, and play independently and with their peers. My favorite things to do in my free time are watching moving and spending time with my family and friends.
Hi, I am Ms. Morgan and I am very excited to join the Open Space Learning Center team of teachers and staff. I look forward to a year of fun, learning, and adventures. I can’t wait to learn all about you and your family. I received my Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. I worked as a nanny and Infant/Toddler teacher during college and decided to accept early childhood education as my career. My hope is for our continued communication to help your child learn and grow. I look forward to all the fun we are going to have and all the new things we are going to learn. If you have any questions or would like to tell me anything that would help me better serve your child’s needs, feel free to let me know!
Hello, my name is Ms. Jessica and I am super excited to join Open Space Early Learning Center. I have been working with children for over 7 years as a babysitter and in the classroom. I graduated from St. Augustine College with my Associates in Early Childhood Education and I am currently pursuing my bachelor’s in Psychology. My teaching philosophy is to provide a safe, fun and engaging learning environment by encouraging exploration to allow for physical, mental and emotional growth. I have a wonderful 3-year-old son whom I love to spend time with. I am currently expecting my second child and I am very excited to meet him/her and for my family to grow.
Hey, there! My name is Dani Pike. I have been working with kiddos since I began interning 8 years ago. I have taught kids from infants to high schoolers in classroom settings, performing arts programs and extracurricular camps. I graduated in May of 2019 from Oklahoma City University, 3rd in my class with my major being in Theatre. I am an actress and a singer and I am always finding ways to create that – or eating quesadillas! I believe curiosity and creativity should be encouraged and supported so kiddos can feel confident exploring and learning about the world and themselves. I am grateful to be here at Open Space and I cannot wait to learn and grow alongside your children.
Hello all, my name is Ms. Christine also known as Ms “Steen” by children I’ve worked within the past. I’ve been working with children throughout the last ten years. My experiences range from being an Assistant Teacher to being a nanny and also as a one to one companion with children with different abilities in inclusive settings. I believe strongly in the importance of creating a compassionate, safe and healthy space for children to learn, grow and explore their days together. When not at school, I enjoy spending time with my dog, making art and showing up for my friends! I am very excited to be joining the Open Space family and cannot wait to get to know everyone better!
Hi, my name is Crystal Benavidez. I have a 9-year-old daughter and another baby girl on the way. I have been working with children for about 5 years now and have grown both personally and professionally throughout my time around the young ones. I recently obtained my Associates in Applied Science within the Child Development field, focusing on birth through preschool. I believe children need hands-on experiences that can help foster and help them develop their discovery skills as well as their cognitive and emotional abilities. I enjoy creating new and fun activities for children to help them continue to discover the world around them. In my free time, I like to paint, go to the movies and spend time with my daughter. I am looking forward to my new journey with Open Space and meeting all of the children and families!
